Taicang's aviation, aerospace industry receives boost

The 2nd Elites Summit of China Aviation and Aerospace Industry was held on July 12 in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province.

Fifty-five projects with a combined investment of over 2.8 billion yuan ($416 million) were signed online on the sidelines of the summit. These projects are related to fields such as aviation and aerospace industry, advanced transportation and digital economy.

Several platforms which are designed to provide support for the aviation and aerospace industry, including a lab focusing on aerospace engineering software and data and a Sino-German innovation center, were inaugurated at the summit.

Individuals and enterprises that have made significant contributions to the city's technology innovation and talent recruiting efforts were also awarded at the summit.

In addition, the hi-tech zone of Taicang promoted its aviation and aerospace industry to the participants.

A launch ceremony for the innovation hub of the aviation and aerospace industry was also held.
