The second session of the 17th Taicang People's Congress opened in Taicand, East China's Jiangsu province on Jan 3, local media reported.
The main task of the congress is to review the government work of last year and outline this year’s objectives and tasks. Two hundred and seventeen deputies were present at the meeting.
A draft report titled The Decision of Taicang People's Congress on Promoting the Wellbeing was unveiled at the event.
