Authorities in Huangjing town in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province have in recent years been making efforts to build a digital industrial cluster.

For example, authorities have been attracting projects related to the intermediate industry of the digital economy.

One of the major projects is a 1-billion-yuan ($144.1 million) semi-conductor facility, which will be used for the research, development and manufacturing of FC-BGA. The facility is expected to generate an annual output of 1.5 billion yuan.

Several big data projects, including a $80-million data facility, have also been set up in the town.

In addition, authorities will sustain efforts to attract projects related to cloud computing, artificial intelligence, intelligent connected vehicle, and livestreaming e-commerce, as part of efforts to form a livestreaming industrial base.

Authorities will also welcome more semi-conductor enterprises engaged in IC packaging and testing to join its integrated circuit industry, as well as channel more resources towards developing technological innovations in the smart city and intelligent manufacturing sectors.

Huangjing has a 450,000-square-meter digital industrial park that can hold more than 25,000 servers and is expected to generate an annual output of 5 billion yuan.
