Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, held an opening ceremony for its venture week on July 11.

The Venture week is aimed at attracting more top talents and high-quality projects to the city.

The Taicang venue is an important part of the 15th Suzhou Venture Week for International Elites, during which more than 800 talent apartments were rolled out.

During the opening ceremony, a series of cooperation agreements were signed and an innovation roadshow center was unveiled to cultivate more professional talents and create a favorable business climate.

Agreements to set up 40 high-quality projects with a total investment of over 2.6 billion yuan ($362.92 million) were signed during the ceremony.

Taicang has attracted 475 projects with a combined investment of 13 billion yuan and 844 outstanding talents who hold master's degrees or above this year.
