German-based Burkert's Taicang facility was put into operation in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 11.

The 500-million-yuan ($68.52 million) facility, which has adopted a series of energy-saving and environmentally-friendly designs and technologies, such as ground-source heat pump systems, rooftop photovoltaics, and smart lighting systems, is expected to generate more than 1 billion yuan in annual output.

Wang Xiangyuan, Party secretary of Taicang, congratulated Burkert at the opening ceremony and noted that the local government will continue efforts to improve services and create a favorable business environment for investors.

Wang added that Taicang has over the past 30 years been striving to deepen cooperation with Germany in economic and trade and cultural exchanges and that the city is currently home to nearly 500 German enterprises.

Andreas Bürkert, a member of the Burkert family, said that the Taicang facility is a milestone in the development of Burkert, and that the company will be committed to advancing integrated development with local customers and empowering the industrial chain with its advanced technologies.

Burlert is a global supplier in the field of fluid control, with over 70 years of fluid control experience. It has multiple research and development centers and factories in Germany and France and branch offices in more than 30 countries and regions.
