Taicang, a city known for its proactive international engagement, made a resounding impact at the recently-concluded 6th China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Nov 10. Embracing the global stage with openness, Taicang's enterprises showcased their prowess, attracting attention and fostering international collaboration.

Over ten enterprises, including branch companies from Heraeus Group, Faurecia Group, Procter & Gamble, and Nike, participated, presenting cutting-edge technologies and products. Heraeus Group, a German technology leader who has manufacturing sites in Taicang, highlighted metallurgical sensors, hydrogen fuel cell catalysts, and advanced electric vehicle systems. CIIE proved fruitful for the group, with Heraeus hosting around 4,000 visitors and reaching agreements worth more than $80 million.

Faurecia Group, a CIIE participant for six consecutive years, spotlighted high-end technologies, signing strategic cooperation agreements worth more than $400 million. Agreements with key Chinese companies like Baowu and Shagang Group were among the notable collaborations.

Beyond individual successes, Taicang leveraged the gala to enhance its investment appeal globally. The event witnessed the signing of 16 aerospace project agreements, which are expected to inject new vitality into Taicang's aerospace industry. Additionally, Siemens and Taicang High Technology Development Zone collaborated to establish a laboratory for carbon science and technology, focusing on green development planning and digital platforms.

Taicang's engagement at the 6th CIIE extended to six investment promotion activities, focusing on the overall industrial cluster development direction, amplifying its global outreach, and catalyzing the acceleration of emerging industries.
