Door closers moving at reduced speeds in low temperatures has long been an unresolved issue throughout the global industry. FRD, a leading door closer manufacturer located in Taicang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has successfully solved this problem with a new product that allows door closers to maintain normal speeds at low temperatures without increasing costs.

FRD values research and development as the core driving force for its development. Annually, 4.5 percent of its sales are invested in R&D. The latest product from FRD adopts a cam structure, which is safer and easier to use than traditional designs. This invention fills a gap in the domestic market and also surpasses similar international products in performance.

With more than 140 patents, including 46 invention patents, FRD is increasingly revered by international clients. By May, FRD had achieved a 30 percent increase in exports. Its customers are based in more than 50 countries and regions in America, Europe and Asia.

According to Zhu Like, the chief executive officer of FRD, sales are expected to reach 300 million yuan ($41.24 million) in 2024, and will grow steadily with a rate of 20 to 30 percent in the future.
