Taicang enjoys vibrant, prosperous Spring Festival holiday
Taicang experienced a prosperous Spring Festival holiday, with multiple consumption promotion events boosting the economy and a wide array of cultural tourism activities immersing both locals and visitors in the festive spirit.

During the eight-day holiday, Taicang rolled out a series of consumption promotion events spanning sectors such as food, automobiles, and appliances. From Jan 27 to Feb 2, 10 key shopping centers and supermarkets in the city achieved a total sales revenue of 63.45 million yuan ($8.71 million), marking a year-on-year increase of 6.6 percent. Prominent among them was Wanda Plaza, which is expected to generate 34.41 million yuan, a growth of 4.4 percent compared to the previous year.

To celebrate the new year in memorable fashion, Taicang offered a series of exciting cultural and tourism activities, such as intangible cultural heritage folk performances, seasonal flower exhibitions, and cultural exhibitions.
Winter sports remained popular this Spring Festival. From New Year's Eve to the sixth day of Chinese New Year, the Taicang Alps Resort received nearly 100,000 visitors, with Alps Snow Live welcoming nearly 23,000 visitors, and set a new daily record in the snow entertainment sector.

At the same time, Shaxi Ancient Town launched an event imbued with authentic Spring Festival spirit in Jiangnan, while Liuhe Ancient Town set up a Spring Festival bazaar offering traditional snacks and elegant handicrafts.
In addition, the Qishierjia Ideal Village, Zhenghe Park, Yangtze River Forest Park, and LINE FRIENDS Camping Village also emerged as popular destinations for holiday travelers.
