The Jiangsu Institute of Bio-Fermentation and the Future Food Industry, together with Jiangnan University, Hainan Pineapple Brother International Trade and Hainan Kangyue Biotechnology, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the "Research and Transformation of the Tropical Fruit Industry and Future Food Research and Development Project" on Dec 4.
The cooperation agreement, matched by the management committee of the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu, was signed at the 28th China (Hainan) International Winter Trade Fair for Tropical Agricultural Products 2025, held in Hainan province.

As an important research platform in domestic food science and engineering that the Taixing zone is dedicated to, the institute is based on the forefront of science and technology, driven by cutting-edge technologies such as biological fermentation, and plays a key role as an innovation engine and bridge link in the future development of the food industry.
The institute will leverage its advantages in scientific research and talent, open up platforms such as incubation centers, coordinate academician resources, university cooperation networks, and relevant national departments, provide R&D venues, equipment support, and policy docking services for cooperation parties, and promote the fruitful results of tropical fruits in cutting-edge fields such as bio-fermentation and future food R&D, said Cai Jun, deputy director of the management committee of the Taixing zone.
