Hooded cranes, known formally as the Grus monacha, have been spotted recently at Mazhou Island – located in the county-level city of Jingjiang – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.

Jiangsu GMO Hi-tich Co, which is based in Jingjiang made a name for itself at the just-concluded Qatar 2022 World Cup football tournament as an electric water heater supplier.

Jingjiang is an economic bridgehead that supports the great nearby city of Shanghai and whose influence radiates throughout northern Jiangsu.

As a State-level economic and technological development zone, the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone covers a planned area of 102.66 square kilometers.
