A group of 18 students and teachers from JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland began a weeklong Chinese language and traditional Chinese medicine program in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, on Oct 12.
Hosted by Suzhou Vocational Health College, the program featured three components: practical Chinese language lessons, hands-on TCM activities, and experiences with Suzhou's intangible cultural heritage.
Participants learned Chinese for daily communication while exploring traditional therapies and practices, including making herbal sachets and experiencing cupping and moxibustion.
