A company in Gangzha district, Nantong, established a charitable foundation to provide financial assistance to local people in need, on Jan 17.

Jiangsu Langshan Wirerope Co, based in Gangzha district, is a large steel wire rope manufacturer that has been operating for more than 50 years.

The firm is well known for the seriousness with which it takes its corporate social responsibilities, and has regularly contributed to charitable causes over the years –– while all the time continuing to grow its business and maintain profitability. 

The firm's new charitable foundation has been established at Gangzha District Charity Federation and it has already received 1.16 million yuan ($170,862) off its founding company.

And to kick off its operations, 110,000 yuan was delivered to families in need following a founding ceremony for the new organization.
