A pet museum at the Nantong Marine Park officially opened to the public in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on July 27.

The museum is the first of its kind in Nantong and covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters.

It is home to hundreds of animals and birds of more than 20 species, including parrots, alpacas, and hamsters.

According to Lu Haiyan, general manager of the marine park, the park has opened two new museums in the past month, with the other being the penguin museum. The aim was to meet the growing demands of young people during summer vacation.
