An exhibition of wooden furniture during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties opened on Aug 1 at the 1895 Nantong Cultural and Creative Industry Park in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province.

More than 200 sets of furniture and woodcarvings are currently on display, including Ming-style furniture for use in studies, Qing-style furniture for use in living rooms, and panels and screens.

The exhibits mainly come from Yangzhou, Taizhou, and Nantong and reflect the cultural, social, and economic development of the region in ancient times.

The exhibition hall is in the park’s building No 43. It is open to the public for free from 9:00 – 16:00 from Tuesday to Sunday.
