Another Tongzhou firm goes public

Nantong Haixing Electronics Limited Liability Company, also known as Haistar, made its debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Aug 9, becoming the ninth listed company in Tongzhou and the 43rd in Nantong.

Haistar sold its shares at 10.18 yuan ($1.44) per share and raised 530 million yuan in IPO. 

Founded in 1977, the company was China’s first manufacturer of electrode foil and has over 30 years of experience producing foils for aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Haistar has become a world-class manufacturer of electrode foil and is dedicated to developing new technology for the production of high-performance foils. It has been listed among China’s top 100 electronic component enterprises for many years.

Tongzhou has nine companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and nine listed on the New OTC Market. 

Chen Jian, CEO of Haistar, has pledged to bring high-quality products and services to the company’s customers and shareholders. “Today is a new start for us. We will work to make the company stronger and become among the top three electrode foil producer in the world over the next five to eight years,” said Chen. 

Tongzhou will launch a series of preferential policies to benefit local enterprises and improve the business environment as a series of national initiatives is being carried out in the Yangtze River Delta area, according to Chen Yonghong, secretary of the Party Committee of Tongzhou district. 

Chen encouraged local companies to continue marching forward in times like this and contribute to Tongzhou’s economy.
