A promotional conference on culture and tourism in Hanzhong city, Northwest China’s Shaanxi province, was held in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on Oct 17.

The event was organized by the Hanzhong municipal government and the city’s culture, tourism, and forestry departments. More than 300 people took part.

Representatives from Hanzhong introduced the city’s rich culture and tourism attractions to attendees. A variety of performances were held as well.

Hanzhong is a renowned historical city located in southwestern Shaanxi province. The Hanjiang River, the largest branch of the Yangtze River, originates there.

Officials said that Hanzhong and Nantong have much in common and will benefit from each other’s resources. A direct flight connecting the two cities is available every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, helping improve bilateral cooperation in culture, tourism, and trade.

More than 40 tourism agencies, scenic spots, and companies in Hanzhong will take part in the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival, which is being held in Nantong from Oct 18 to 20.
