A delegation of government officials from Vejle, Denmark, took part in a tourism conference held in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 20.

Ge Jinkun, director of the Nantong culture, broadcasting, television and tourism bureau, and Pan Qiang, deputy director of the city’s foreign affairs office, attended the meeting and briefed the Danish guests on Nantong's cultural and tourism attractions.

An official from the Vejle tourism department also introduced Velje’s major tourist attractions, including a Lego-themed park and an ice and snow park.

She said that both Vejle and Nantong boast high levels of creativity and that there is ample room for cooperation between the two cities in culture and tourism.

During the meeting, Danish delegates and representatives from two outbound travel agencies in Nantong held in-depth discussions on future cooperation.

During their stay in Nantong, the delegates also visited Langshan Mountain, Haohe River, the Zhou Ji Green Expo Garden, and the Nantong Blue Calico Museum, praising the local scenic spots and the city's efforts to protect its cultural and natural heritages.

Nantong established sister-city relations with Vejle on Dec 17, 2014. Since then, the two sides have seen fruitful cooperation in trade, culture, tourism, education, and environmental protection.
