Nantong to hold 602 events during Spring Festival

A total of 602 cultural and tourism events will be held across Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, during the Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, according to the city's culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism bureau.

The events will be held at city, county, town, and village (community)-level venues, officials said.

One such event is the 2020 Nantong Zilang Lantern Show, which opened on Jan 15. The more than 130 sets of cultural lanterns on display have been attracting hordes of visitors since opening day.

Another event is the ninth Jianghai Folk Cultural Festival, which will be held at the Langshan Mountain scenic area on Jan 24. A wide array of celebrations, including dragon dances, a short video competition, fashion shows, and acrobatic performances will be held at the event.

Other scenic spots throughout the city, including the Zhou Ji Green Expo Garden, Nantong Forest Safari Park, XiaoYangkou scenic area, and Shuihui Garden, will also organize distinct activities to entertain visitors.
