The 2019 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) List of Chinese Hospitals was released by the Institute of Medical Information of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences on 21st August. Among the top 100 Chinese hospitals is Nantong Tumor Hospital. Nantong Tumor Hospital ranked 49th for Dermatology, 93rd for Oncology, and 42nd for Nursing. 

"STEM" identifies three key dimensions for assessing hospital progress in science and technology (S&T): output – journal articles and citations, patents, standards and guidelines; academic status – scientific and technological awards, talents and teams, and academic positions; S&T sources—scientific research and supporting platforms. 

There are 1,633 Chinese hospitals evaluated for the rankings at both overall and specialty levels.
