Nantong's first cabin nucleic acid testing lab debuts in Tongzhou

According to the Tongzhou district health commission, the cabin nucleic acid testing laboratory in the Tongzhou District People's Hospital has recently entered the debugging stage, local media reported on Aug 21.

It is the first cabin nucleic acid testing laboratory in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, and can take up to 22,000 samples a day.

The lab covers an area of about 109 square meters and is equipped with three major zones for reagent preparation, sample making and extracting, and sample amplification and analysis.

It also boasts a locker room, a decontamination room, a computer room, and more, and can be conveniently transported to support areas in need.

It has been reported that Tongzhou district pays equal attention to epidemic prevention and control and rapidly enhancing its capabilities in nucleic acid testing. In addition to the testing lab, the district has also built a 450-square-meter multifunctional nucleic acid testing base, the largest in Tongzhou.
