World's biggest pile-driving vessel soon to be delivered in Qidong

The world's biggest pile-driving vessel, being built in the county-level city of Qidong – administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – will soon be completed and delivered to its owners.

With a length of 124 meters and a width of 39 m, the vessel will be used to hammer in metal piles for the construction of the foundations of giant offshore wind power turbines, among other things. [Photo/ntfabu.com]

After completion, it will become a dedicated pile-driving engineering ship with the highest pile frame height, the strongest capacity for driving in the piles, with the highest wind and wave resistance of its kind in the world.
