A star team leader from IKEA Wood Environmental Manufacturing (Nantong) Co Ltd – Maciej Lukasz Wrzaskowski – was recently awarded with the 2022 Jiangsu May 1 Labor Medal.

Located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone – in the Tongzhou district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – the company was established in 2012. In October 2016, Maciej started working for IKEA.

During the past few years, Maciej has led a team and created several production lines and improved the company's productivity using leading domestic technologies.

Of these, the reconstruction of its smart workshop particularly boosted the production efficiency of the company – speeding up the reorganization of its business processes, reducing costs and improving the economic benefits of the firm.

In 2016, the reconstructed workshop was recognized as a model for smart workshops by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu.
