Chen Huiyu, Party secretary of Rudong county in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, met with Fang Wenrong, president of the United States-based AGCO Corp, in China on Aug 20.

Chen welcomed Fang and briefed him on Rudong's economic and social development.

He said that the county is ramping up efforts to create a favorable business environment and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of its industrial structure.

Chen also expressed his hope to cooperate with AGCO.

Fang said at the meeting that AGCO is a major tractor and farm equipment manufacturer and the agricultural machinery industry is currently undergoing a rare development opportunity.

The group will seize the opportunity to seek more cooperation with Rudong, added Fang.

During his visit in Rudong, Fang visited the ZTT Industrial Park, the PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal at Yangkou Port, Liubu fishing port, and other places.

AGCO is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural equipment and delivers agricultural tools such as tractors, combine harvesters, seeding and tillage implements, as well as replacement parts, to farmers worldwide.
