A night market themed on car boot sales located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, started operating on March 31, local media reported.

The market featured 90 booths featuring flowers, food, handicrafts, small toys, fabrics, and more.

To maintain order at the night market and increase operators' attention to safety, local authorities will examine and evaluate operators in terms of hygiene, environmental protection, and booth image.

According to local authorities, the market is a part of efforts to boost the district's nighttime economy.

Next, the district will seek out more areas in Chongchuan to hold such markets in an effort to boost the local economy and increase the satisfaction of residents.
