Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has strengthened its efforts in advancing the technological transformation of local enterprises in recent years.

In the first quarter of this year, the county invested 1.42 billion yuan ($205.07 million) in equipment technical improvement, an increase of 8.1 percent year-on-year.

Located in Hai'an, Semicon Champion Microelectronics (SCME), which specializes in semiconductor chips, is one of the enterprises that have benefited from the technological transformation.

Li Shen, general manager of SCME, said that data visualization transformation has improved their product delivery rate from 80 percent to 96 percent.

In addition, the eligible rate of electrical performance of their chip products has been maintained at 99 percent since the technological transformation.

The county has also encouraged the construction of a 5G network in local high-tech enterprises.

For example, local authorities have provided free diagnosis services to aid the technical transformation of 200 local enterprises above the designated size.

Last year, 466 projects related to key industries in the county underwent intelligent reform and digital transformation, the highest in Nantong.
