Nantong Fangcai Home Products Co Ltd is a company that has been exporting customized aromatherapy products to Europe and America for over 10 years. Recently, a batch of osmanthus-scented reed diffusers from the company was exported overseas after passing Rugao Customs inspection.

"This year, orders for Chinese aromatherapy have increased by 30 percent, and customers have more diverse customization demands. For example, this batch of osmanthus-scented reed diffuser sets not only have reed sticks, but also bamboo and grass products such as dried flowers and hay as decorations and a new volatilization agent," said Wang Yinbo, the person in charge of the company.

The company asked for help from customs for some export requirements that they were not sure about, such as quarantine requirements for bamboo and grass ornaments and whether the new volatilization agent involved the export of dangerous chemicals.

Rugao Customs formed a joint service team of animal and plant inspection and commercial inspection experts to provide exclusive services for the company.

With the help of customs, the company's Chinese aromatherapy is becoming more and more popular overseas, said Wang.

Rugao Customs has so far supervised 148 batches of reed diffuser exports with a total value of 22.5 million yuan ($3.07 million).
