Tongzhou district library attains first-tier recognition

Tongzhou district library in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently conferred the title of a first-tier library in the latest nationwide assessment of public libraries at the county level and above.

Spanning an expansive 8,800 square meters, the library houses a collection of over 1.32 million publications and features conventional adult reading rooms, children's reading rooms, and a periodical reading room.

In addition, the library boasts a 3D graphic experience room, visually impaired reading room, multifunctional exhibition hall, parent-child activity center, academic lecture hall, study room, and 24-hour reading service area, catering to diverse reading needs.

The library also manages volunteer service teams, with more than 120 registered volunteers. Regular cultural activities such as expanded reading programs, traditional Chinese culture lectures, popular science lectures, and art exhibitions are organized by the library.
