MLily, a Rugao-based global mattress brand, recently saw its goods destined for the United States cleared through the "overseas warehouse of cross-border e-commerce exports", a customs procedure introduced in 2020.

The procedure involves businesses exporting goods in bulk to overseas warehouses. After completing online transactions on cross-border e-commerce platforms, overseas companies or consumers have their goods shipped from the overseas warehouse directly to their doorstep. This approach significantly reduces logistics costs, enhances efficiency, and improves customer satisfaction.

MLily has established an overseas warehouse in the US, where 30 to 50 containers are shipped each month. The company's vice-president, Wu Xiaohong, said the company now sells in 110 countries and is considering further expanding its overseas warehouse layout to other countries.
