The sea-rail intermodal trains at China Railway Shanghai Group's Hai'an freight station have reached new heights.

So far this year, the sea-rail intermodal service in Hai'an, Nantong, Jiangsu province, has dispatched 13,532 carriages, transporting 367,000 metric tons of goods—a 30.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The city's sea-rail intermodal trains now regularly run to Zhoushan Port in Ningbo and Luchaogang Port in Shanghai, with an average of 19 trains dispatched weekly. Upon arrival, the cargo is shipped globally.

Connecting the lower reaches of the Yangtze River with Shanghai Port and Ningbo Ports, the sea-rail intermodal trains in Hai'an have become a crucial logistics channel for foreign trade. Their strong transport capacity and cost-effectiveness make them highly favored by export-oriented businesses.
