On May 21, the signing ceremony for Bayer's consumer health products base was held in Qidong. The project is set to occupy a total area of 6.7 hectares in the Qidong Economic Development Zone.

The project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase requiring an investment of 600 million yuan ($82.8 million). It will establish a multi-functional supply center encompassing solid formulation production workshops, laboratories, warehouses, and public utility facilities.

The new center will enhance Bayer's production capacity and become an integral part of the group's global supply network, ensuring the delivery of higher-quality products to customers.

Gao Yong, vice-president of Bayer China, emphasized the long-standing cooperation and trust between Bayer and Qidong, highlighting it as the foundation for Bayer's long-term presence in the county-level city in Jiangsu province's Nantong. He expressed hope for continued support from the Qidong government in providing a favorable business environment, robust policy support, and efficient services for business development.

This project represents a significant step forward in sustainable development, innovation, and digitalization. Once completed and operational, it will set industry benchmarks and contribute to the high-quality economic development of Qidong, added Gao.
