Located in Chongchuan district, Jiangsu province, Jiangsu Hirain Automotive Electronics phase II officially began operations on July 1, with the research and development center moving in.

The R&D center will inject new momentum into Chongchuan's efforts to accelerate the development of a new hub for the automotive electronics industry.

Jiangsu Hirain is a pioneer in the design and manufacturing of intelligent driving controllers in China and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Jingwei Hirain Technologies Co. It has developed and mass-produced various products, including millimeter-wave radar and augmented reality head-up display systems. The phase II project, now in operation, is expected to produce 25 million sets of automotive electronic components annually, with an estimated annual taxable sales of 4 billion yuan ($550.17 million), aiding Chongchuan in its quest to create a new hub for automotive electronics.

Chairman Ji Yingcun of Jingwei Hirain Technologies participated in the unveiling ceremony of the R&D center. He mentioned that in 2017, Jingwei Hirain Technologies invested in Chongchuan to start mass producing automotive electronic components. By 2022, Jingwei Hirain Technologies went public and has since increased its investment in Nantong, reflecting the company's high regard for the business environment in Nantong and Chongchuan and its confidence in future development, he added.

He also stated that in the future, Hirain will further intensify its development efforts in Nantong, aiming to become a world-class comprehensive electronic system technology service provider and make greater contributions to the development of new productive forces in the city.
