Nantong Junfeng New Material Technology, located in Tongzhou district of Nantong city, East China's Jiangsu province, produces butyl rubber materials which are used to seal glass and can achieve 75 years of no water leakage.
Butyl rubber is an elastomeric polymer used widely in adhesives and sealants.
The company is a new material company which contributes value to carbon neutrality and the semiconductor industry based on precious metal crystal synthesis, surface treatment technology and organic synthesis technology.
High barrier encapsulation of butyl rubber material is one of the star products produced by the company. It is the main material used in the solar power generation field to block low water vapor permeability.
"The current industry standard requires glass coated with butyl rubber to have a water resistance of 25 years, but our company's testing standard follows three times the industry standard, which means it will not be permeable for 75 years," said Tao Jun, chairman of the company.
The company is also engaged in the research and development of photovoltaic pastes, especially positive electrode pastes, as well as thick film electronic pastes and metal powders.
"Our pulp products now have passed customer testing and our company's sales revenue is projected to reach 50 million yuan ($6.98 million) this year," Tao added.
