Nantong's air quality reaches best in history

Monitoring data revealed that in 2024, the annual average concentration of PM 2.5 in Nantong, Jiangsu province, was 25 micrograms per cubic meter, marking a historic low for the area.
The city has distinguished itself as the first in the province to achieve the second-stage target set by the World Health Organization during the transitional period.
The proportion of days exhibiting excellent air quality reached 86.1 percent, positioning second in the province. Furthermore, the average ozone concentration was recorded at 156 µg per cu m, signifying the city's compliance with the national air quality Level II standard for the first time in the past three years.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Nantong municipal ecological environment bureau is set to persist in its commitment to building a beautiful Nantong. This initiative will focus on combating pollution and accelerating a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural environment.
