The agreement for the Lemon Photonics semiconductor laser chip manufacturing base was signed on Jan 8 and the base will be established in the Shibei Hi-Tech Zone of Chongchuan district, Nantong.

The project focuses on the research, development, and sale of new-generation semiconductor laser chips and modules. It will be implemented in phases, with the first phase involving a total investment of approximately 100 million yuan ($13.64 million). The first phase is expected to generate over 340 million yuan in sales over the next five years, with a total tax revenue exceeding 18 million yuan.

The second phase will cover an area of about 1.67 hectares, with plans to build 30,000 square meters of factory and office space. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate around 400 million yuan in annual taxable sales, paying about 25 million yuan in taxes annually.

In addition, the investor plans to build the East China R&D center and sales center for Lemon Photonics.
