The Liming community in Hai'an, Nantong, hosted a spring couplets writing event on Jan 13 to create a festive and harmonious atmosphere for the upcoming Spring Festival.

The event brought together calligraphy enthusiasts who expressed heartfelt wishes through their art. Bold and elegant couplets, brimming with poetic charm, and vividly crafted "Fu" (blessing) characters filled the air with the fragrance of ink, adding to the festive spirit.

Under the guidance of calligraphy teachers, young aspiring calligraphers enthusiastically wielded their brushes on red paper. They carefully crafted "Fu" characters, their efforts soon covering the tables with auspicious creations. Their work drew praise from onlookers and sparked joy as the children discovered the beauty of calligraphy, developing a deeper appreciation for this traditional art.

The event concluded with volunteers visiting the homes of elderly residents living alone, delivering Spring Festival couplets that carried warm wishes and blessings, and spreading joy and connection throughout the community.
