The Yangkou Port-Rudong section of the Yangkou Port-Nantong Expressway, also known as the second phase of the Yangkou Port-Nantong Expressway, began operations on Jan 10.

The first phase of the expressway opened in January 2015, and the second phase extends the initial route northwards towards Rudong, playing a vital role in the overall plan for Jiangsu province's highway network.

The new 16.02-kilometer section is constructed to be a two-way, four-lane highway with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The opening of this section will improve traffic efficiency and connectivity in the region, enhancing the infrastructure in Jiangsu's coastal areas.
