Nantong winter fete wraps up at Chengnan Villa

A winter fete successfully concluded at the Chengnan Villa in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Jan 19. Over 3 million visitors attended, with a peak daily attendance of 32,000 people.

At the Nantong Folk Paper-cut Exhibition Hall, the works of paper-cut practitioners Li Haifeng and Liu Jing were showcased, with hundreds of pieces themed on zodiac animals, landscapes, figures, architecture, and festivals. In the paper-cut sales area, citizens and tourists could purchase their favorite paper-cut works.

At the interactive lottery booths, various characteristic cultural and creative products, such as refrigerator magnets and postcards, were displayed, showcasing local cultural and tourism attractions like Langshan Mountain, Haohe River, Bell Tower, and Chengnan Villa. The city also introduced a series of measures, such as distributing cultural and tourism consumption vouchers to attract more tourists.

The event offered 10 immersive performances, including traditional music performances, street dance shows, jazz bands, and pop music concerts. Additionally, there were 26 parade displays, creating a series of audio-visual carnival feasts, attracting more young people to explore Chengnan Villa and experience the collision of traditional cultural charm and modern music passion.
