The after-school tutoring center in Guba village, Zhengyu town, Haimen district, organized a heartwarming event where local children delivered Spring Festival couplets to elderly residents on Jan 21, spreading festive cheer and blessings.

The event began with volunteers sharing the cultural significance of writing and pasting Spring Festival couplets, which gave the children a deeper understanding of this important Chinese tradition.

After learning about the couplets, the children visited the village's rural library to pick out a selection of couplets and "福" characters to deliver to elderly residents living nearby.

This not only brought a refreshing literary touch to the Spring Festival celebrations but also allowed the children to experience the charm of traditional culture while sending greetings to the elderly.
