The Ou Lai Beehive Garden Homestay in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been awarded the National Grade B Homestay title, becoming the first homestay in the city to receive this recognition.

The homestay, themed around bees, is an eco-friendly destination that offers guests a unique and diverse experience. In addition to staying in bee-themed rooms, visitors can enjoy activities such as urban beekeeping, nature-based bee education classes, honey coffee tastings, and a range of creative bee-related cultural products.

"I originally majored in architecture, but I became fascinated with building houses for bees," explained the owner, Chen Xiaoshun. "Eventually, I transformed my hotel into a bee-themed homestay, upgrading it to the Ou Lai Beehive Garden Homestay we have today." The homestay promotes the cultural and ecological significance of bees while pioneering a sustainable model that integrates ecology with business.

In recent years, Chongchuan has focused on upgrading its tourism industry by promoting the homestay economy and cultivating high-quality homestays. Last year, the district's Nantong Sheyuan Garden Landscape Homestay received the National Grade C Tourism Homestay award.
