During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, Qidong experienced a significant surge in consumer activity across the tourism, retail, dining, and hospitality sectors.

At Jiangtian Family Amusement Park, new attractions such as sea lion performances and over 10 non-powered amusement projects were introduced, drawing nearly 10,000 visitors—double last year.

The Yuantuojiao Resort also enjoyed a major boost in popularity. An 11,000-square-meter tulip field featuring 500,000 tulips imported from the Netherlands dazzled visitors with its vibrant colors, attracting tourists from across the country to enjoy the breathtaking spring scenery.

Cultural venues such as libraries and museums were active in their outreach efforts. The Qidong Museum hosted a special educational activity combining kite-making with traditional culture education, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of Chinese traditions through hands-on experiences. Meanwhile, by Diehu Lake, the Qidong Library organized an outdoor reading event where children had the opportunity to learn about the history and customs of the Qingming Festival through storytelling, interactive games, and fun crafts.

Commercial areas also saw robust growth. During the holiday, total foot traffic at Qidong Wuyue Plaza exceeded 140,000 visits, up 5 percent from last year. On-site sales reached 10 million yuan ($1.37 million), marking a 13 percent year-on-year increase.
