The park, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($282.92 million) and a planned area of 200 mu (about 13.33 hectares), will integrate upstream and downstream home textile resources. It aims to use Nantong's industrial might to drive Africa's full-chain development from cultivation to production.

Maria Gustava, ambassador of Mozambique to China, learned about the park at the 2025 First Session of the "Chinese and African Envoys' Visit to Nantong". She said she believes that, with the park boasting a comprehensive textile industry system, Africa will be able to bring raw materials to Nantong for processing, and Nantong firms could invest and set up factories in Africa.

Lu Jianfei, president of China Far East Investment Group, has shown strong interest in investing in the park. He deems that lots of industries in Nantong are complementary with those in Africa and is confident that the future cooperation between both sides will continue to expand and deepen.

From January to October this year, Tongzhou's import and export volume with Africa reached 1.76 billion yuan, up 63.6 percent year-on-year. It will keep using its industrial strength to deepen cooperation, boost trade and investment, and seek mutual benefits.
