Haohe River Scenic Area launches night cruise
An immersive night cruise titled "Haohe River Night Painting", which blends historical culture, light and shadow technology, and live performances, was launched at the Haohe River Scenic Area in Nantong on Dec 29.
As one of the best-preserved ancient moats in China, Haohe River is Nantong's mother river and a 5A-level open scenic area. The new tour utilizes bridges, docks, and landscapes along the river to create 20 viewing scenes.
It innovatively employs modern light and shadow technologies such as water screen projection and 3D Mapping, combined with live performances and audio drama, to weave together historical stories. Meanwhile, the tour has optimized guidance and lighting facilities, introduced interactive photo-taking devices, and enhanced visitor engagement.
"The cruise is not only about creating a cultural tourism scene but also about deeply uncovering and presenting the thousand-year-old cultural connotation of Haohe River, aiming to promote the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism," said Ji Liang, executive director of Nantong Haohe River Tourism Park Construction.
