5 key projects costing over $350m begin construction in Chongchuan

Construction started on five key projects costing a total of 2.5 billion yuan ($354.49million) in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on April 10, including a project by E-rising Electronic Technology Co involving intelligent cleaners.

E-rising Electronic Technology Co is a high-tech company that focuses on household cleaning appliances and has developed close cooperative relations with several well-known enterprises such as Haier, Midea, Carrefour, and Auchan. Its products are exported to over 70 countries and regions around the world.

The five projects involve several emerging industries, including energy conservation, information, high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials, and their annual revenues are expected to reach a combined total of 8.5 billion yuan, resulting in 650 million yuan in tax revenue.

In addition, 10 project deals involving internet of vehicles, communication, and more were signed that same day. The projects will cost more than 8 billion yuan.

According to Liu Hao, secretary of Chongchuan district's Party committee, in the past year 43 projects costing over 100 million yuan each began construction in the district, and the regional GDP reached 94.8 billion yuan. The district plans to facilitate more construction projects in an effort to boost regional economic development.
