Chongchuan holds cultural activities for Spring Festival

Authorities in Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province will hold a series of cultural activities at its Tangzha ancient town to creative a festive atmosphere for the upcoming Lunar New Year. 

The activities will include lantern parades, art performances, temple fairs and intangible cultural heritage experiences.

The lantern parades, which are themed on the Year of the Rabbit and the district's folk customs, will be held from Jan 23 to 25. 

Art performances featuring Peking operas, Yueju operas and shadow puppet plays will be staged from Jan 22 to 26.

The temple fairs, which will have Hanfu shows, riddle guessing activities and vendors selling cultural and creative products and local snacks, will be held from Jan 21 to 29. 

In addition, bazaars selling ICH products and teaching traditional handcraft skills will be held from Jan 23 to 25.
