Jiangsu Rugao High Voltage Electric Apparatus Co, which is located in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Nantong, has increased efforts to promote innovation and enhance production, with the goal of winning more orders and increasing its market share.

The company's annual sales reached 1.63 billion yuan ($251.79 million) in 2020, with the number expected to hit 1.79 billion yuan this year, according to Yin Tiejun, head of the production department at the company. The company has already received many orders that are scheduled to be finished until this August.

Its achievements have been a result of the high-quality products it produces. In recent years, the company has been investing more than 5 percent of its sales revenue into research and development, which has helped improve the product quality and turned itself into a renowned brand in the high voltage electric apparatus industry, said Yin.

The company also plans to spend more than 30 million yuan in developing a new kind of circuit breaker, as well as over 20 million yuan on automated equipment in order to boost production efficiency, Yin added.
