More big ventures set to arrive in NETDA

The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – in Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is reportedly pushing to create a first-class business environment through positive policies, low costs, high efficiency and streamlined services.

The initiative is expected to pave the way for a growing number of projects and entrepreneurs to invest in the area. As a direct result, more high-tech intelligent manufacturing projects and entrepreneurs have reportedly decided to invest in the NETDA.

One of them, Robotechnik Intelligent Technology Co Ltd, located its headquarters in the NETDA. It supplies intelligent manufacturing systems for producers of photovoltaic cells, electronics, semiconductors, automobile and precision parts.

Li Weibin, the executive deputy general manager of the company, said that the major feature of the new industrial revolution was the deep integration of industrialization and IT applications. For equipment manufacturing companies the 5G era was well on its way and it was necessary to improve the levels of intelligent manufacturing.

Li added that after repeatedly comparing the investment environment of many places in China, Robo-Technik finally chose the NETDA to invest in and set up a factory. The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan ($154.5 million) and the first phase cost 400 million yuan.
