NETDA holds sci-tech entrepreneurship competition

The preliminary rounds for the 2021 Tongchuanghui Nantong Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Competition recently took place in the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – located in Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – according to local media reports on Aug 6.  

Local companies and institutes in Nantong sent 1,119 teams to participate in the heats – related to IT, equipment manufacturing, biomedicines, new energy, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection.  This year's competition has more entries than the previous competition and 143 enterprises and teams were selected to advance to the finals.  

Since its launch in 2013, the competition has been held eight times, with a total of more than 4,700 projects registered to take part.

A large number of innovators and entrepreneurs have reportedly been cultivated and many enterprises with bright market prospects have been nurtured, providing a strong impetus for the industrial transformation and upgrading of Nantong.
