Nantong FTZ ensures smooth operations of its businesses

The Nantong Free Trade Zone – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is making every effort to ensure its resident businesses operate smoothly, while they meticulously observe COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.

Officials from the Nantong FTZ have paid regular visits to key firms, to understand their operational plans and policy needs and to provide tailor-made services for them.

Fan Zhiqiang, head of the Nantong FTZ administration, has visited Fuhan Xingye Co Ltd – the operational arm of an international integrated circuits distribution center – many times since the outbreak.

Special support has been given to the enterprise for the intelligent transformation of its high-tech products warehouse and to help it form a semiconductors chip cluster in the surrounding areas. 

In the first quarter of the year, exports by the integrated circuits industry in the Nantong FTZ soared by 108.5 percent year on year. 

The FTZ also continues to optimize its business environment. To respond to the logistics problems that most foreign trade enterprises have encountered during the outbreak, the FTZ has coordinated with other local government departments to open fast-track administrative channels.

By doing so, the aim is to help ensure strict epidemic prevention and control measures and continuous operations.
