A collection campaign for a painting and calligraphy exhibition was recently held at the Yushu 4th Nationalities Complete Primary School in Qinghai province and the Zhuxing Primary School in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), Jiangsu province.

The two schools forged a relationship thanks to the Mo Wensui Fund in Nantong, which started subsidizing poverty-stricken students at the Yushu 4th Nationalities Complete Primary School in 2019.

Zhuogalazeng, one of the first children to receive the subsidies, is now a freshman of Qinghai Qaidam Vocational and Technical College. She said that the fund has brought her new clothes and stationery, making her feel cared and provided for.

Over the past six years, more than 300 students have received subsidies from the Mo Wensui Fund, with a combined amount of 500,000 yuan ($69,000), more than 40 of whom have been admitted to colleges or universities, noted Cairensongbao, Party secretary of the Yushu 4th Nationalities Complete Primary School.

Last year, Mo Wensui Fund began offering subsidies to poverty-stricken teachers at Yushu 4th Nationalities Complete Primary School, providing 2,400 yuan per person per year.

In addition to subsidies, in July last year, members of Mo Wensui Volunteer Service Team in NETDA volunteered to establish the Mo Wensui Volunteer Service Station in the school.

These volunteers also joined an environmental protection campaign titled "The Protection of the Yangtze River Starts at the Source". At the square of the Yushu Memorial of Earthquake Ruins and along the Tongtian River and Qinghai Lake, Mo Wensui volunteers can be seen picking up waste using pliers.
