On June 21 at Yangkou Port, Rudong, a 1,660-meter cable was installed at a speed of 6 meters per minute into the trench on the east side of the Yellow Sea Second Bridge.

This cable installation is part of a 110 kV substation project, which covers an area of 1,850 square meters and will provide a stable power supply to the four LNG terminals, both operational and under construction, at the port.

Meng Yu, the cable project manager, highlighted the use of ultra-long cables to minimize joints, as more joints increase the likelihood of operational failures and reduce power supply reliability. The cable's cross section measures 1,000 square millimeters and was chosen for its energy-saving and efficiency-boosting properties. Additionally, the entire cable employs flexible supports that adjust according to the bridge's vibration amplitude, ensuring stability and efficiency.
